What is NDC Number?



NDC Stands for National Drug Code, According to the Drug Listing act 1972 for all the drugs there is unique product identifier used for the drug indent for Human use.

NDC Number Format:
10 Digit numeric 


First 4 – 5 digit represents the following

Labeler Code

Second 3 – 4 digit

Product Code
 
Third 1 – 2

Package Code

NDC numbers are grouped under the following format

4-4-2
5-4-1
5-3-2

But CMS has created 11 digits NDC, NDC with leading zeros so the format will be 5-4-2

Rejection Procedure note qualifier is missing

  Need to check the Charges tab and double click on the Procedure Code line to open up the Charge Entry window. There is a Notes section on the right hand side. If there is a note typed, we need to select the type.   Need to select field and select the appropriate type of note you are sending.   Save the changes made   Check all the procedure if submitted many procedure.   Save the visit again and submit the claim.
