Fine Needle Aspiration - FNA

FNA taking small sample of cells or fluids, its used to investigate the superficial lumps under the skin. Inserting a fine needle into the mass sampling of the cells or fluid, these sample will be examined. By doing this test we can even avoid the surgeries and other complicated procedures.

10021

It can be done without of the imaging guidance also the procedure is included in CPT 32405 if physician really performed both the CPTs you need to append 59 modifier for the second CPT. In this you may be get paid from insurance.

10022

It is performed under imaging guidance, taking the sample nodule, cells or fluids and sent to pathology for find the problem. And you cannot report this procedure with any other biopsy procedure. If physician performed the procedure in two different part of the body you can bill the CPT twice in the claim with 59 modifier.

Rejection Procedure note qualifier is missing

  Need to check the Charges tab and double click on the Procedure Code line to open up the Charge Entry window. There is a Notes section on the right hand side. If there is a note typed, we need to select the type.   Need to select field and select the appropriate type of note you are sending.   Save the changes made   Check all the procedure if submitted many procedure.   Save the visit again and submit the claim.
